A wide variety of agricultural products are grown and raised in Lake County, from traditional products such as pears, walnuts and wine grapes, to more unusual products such as buffalo steak and goat cheese. Lake County products are available at farmers markets and several produce stands located throughout the county, and many grocery stores offer locally grown produce in season.
Lake County Bartlett pears were exhibited in the 1885 World's Fair in New Orleans, and today Lake County is the second largest supplier of premium fresh pears in the U.S.. Kelseyville hosts a Pear Festival in September.
